An exhibition of large format photographs entitled Dogma by Antonín Kratochvíl - winner of four prestigious World Press Photo awards - which presents the artist´s critical view of contemporary Czech society. He blames society for its narrow-mindedness and rigidity which he idiosyncratically portrays through 11 photographs that make up the entire exhibition set. Antonín Kratochvíl won the World Press Photo awards four times, and also holds the title of "Czech Photography Personality of the year 2014" for his long-term contribution to photography, issued by the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic. The Dogma exhibition is complemented by a set of photographs from Jaroslav Brabec, depicting the author in the years 2010-2014 and his caricature of Josef Blecha from May 2015 with an accompanying film on the topic.
The photographic work of A. Kratochvíl can be found in the collections of the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris or at the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco.He has exhibited in Milan, Munich, Cologne, Prague, Houston, New York and Perpignan.The American magazine Photo ranked him among the hundred most important photographers of the USA. He lives in Prague and New York.
