The exhibition consists of photographs of Czech glass art from the leading Czech photographer of glass and university pedagogue, Prof. Miroslav Vojtěchovský, who zooms in on the works of 27 significant Czech glass artists such as Bořek Šípek, Jiří Šuhájek, Vladimír Kopecký, František Vízner, Jiří Pačinek, Marian Karel, Jirina Žertová and others. It was prepared by the Createam company (www.createam.cz) together with the author of the photographs and based on the publication of the same title, subtitled "Czech Art Glass in the Photographs of Miroslav Vojtěchovský".
Prof. Vojtěchovský introduces the book with the words: "The Glass Interviews" publication is a photographic meeting with artists, prominent figures of Czech glassmaking, who through their thinking, specific traits, actions and results of their work influenced the development of glass art and contributed to the specialty and high quality of Czech glassmaking."
After the premiere launch in 2016 in the Tuscan Palace in Prague, the collection was on display for example in Kuala Lumpur this year. It comprises of photographs with accompanying texts about the represented glass artists.
Due to the regional glass tradition here in Jindřichův Hradec, the exhibition is supplemented, according to the concept of PhDr. Miloslav Paulík, with glass products and glassware from the now mostly extinct South Bohemian glassworks Včelnička, Chlum u Třeboně, Lenora and Janštejn and by the works of seven other prominent Czech glass artists – Jan Gabrhel, who worked at the glassworks in Chlum u Třeboně as well as Alena Matějka, Blanka Adensamová, Václav Machač, Jaromír Rybák, Kryštof Rybák and the late Pavel Hlava. The majority of these artists have a positive relationship to the local region, occasionally staying here and creating their work. You can see, for example, photos capturing the environment and the products of the listed glassworks, including those in the form of a slide show.
