Daniel Reynek – photographs

Daniel Reynek – photographs

„Daniel Reynek – photographs“ is an extensive retrospective exhibition comprised of nearly 90 photographs, presenting a selection from the works of Czech photographer Daniel Reynek, who passed away last year. The exhibition consists mainly of Reynek’s trademark colour photomontages (1960–1970). Those feature floral themes, animals or miscellaneous items, and were taken at his home, in Petrkov. There are also black and white photographs developed from newly discovered authentic negatives that have never been presented or published before. Most photographs are digital archival prints developed from original negatives and transparencies. The exhibition is also accompanied by portraits of Daniel Reynek in his last years by František Nárovec.
The exhibition was created in cooperation of Museum of Photography and Modern Visual Media, o. p. s., Jindřichův Hradec, and Měsíc ve dne gallery, České Budějovice, with František Nárovec as its curator. Měsíc ve dne, České Budějovice, has also published a catalogue. There are also corresponding brochures available in Czech, English, French and German.
